Solid Color System

Components

  • Concrete or substrate: This is the first layer on most epoxy flooring systems and needs to be prepared this may involve cleaning, etching, or polishing the substrate to create a clean, rough surface for proper adhesion of the epoxy coating.
  • Pigmented basecoat or Body Coat: The body coat is the main layer of a solid color system that provides the desired thickness, durability, and aesthetic appearance to the floor. The body coat can be pigmented with various colors to achieve the desired look.
  • Topcoat: This is the final layer of the solid color system that is applied over the body coat. It serves as a protective layer that enhances the durability, chemical resistance, and UV resistance of the solid color system. The top coat can also be pigmented or clear, depending on the desired aesthetic and functional requirements.

Advantages

  • Highly resistant to many chemical products, making it durable and long-lasting.
  • Excellent adhesive properties allow it to be applied on other firm and hard coatings, as well as providing a strong bond to the substrate.
  • Solvent-free formula makes it ideal for interior application without any harmful odours.
  • Multiple layers can be applied on top of each other for enhanced protection.
  • Surface density makes it resistant to bacteria and moisture, and easy to clean
